Jey Shir Village, located within the peripheral zone of Isfahan, occupies a position shaped simultaneously by rural spatial characteristics, its relationship with surrounding agricultural lands, and the influence of ongoing regional development trends. This condition places the village at the intersection of local identity and contemporary transformation, where its physical structure, settlement pattern, and land use are increasingly affected by emerging needs and development pressures. In this context, a precise understanding of the village’s spatial, social, and functional characteristics has served as the primary basis for preparing the guide plan.
The guide plan for Jey Shir Village has been developed with the aim of organizing the village’s spatial structure and directing its future growth through a comprehensive assessment of existing conditions, capacities, and environmental constraints. Within this framework, key components such as the residential fabric, circulation network, distribution of land uses, the village’s relationship with surrounding lands, and the role of public spaces have been carefully examined in order to provide a clear understanding of both existing challenges and latent potentials. This approach has made it possible to propose strategies that are responsive to the physical realities of the site as well as the needs of its residents.
Throughout the preparation of the plan, a range of issues have been addressed, including the deterioration of parts of the existing fabric, the shortage or fragmentation of services, deficiencies in infrastructure, limitations in accessibility, and the pressure created by new construction. Accordingly, the principal approach of the project has been to establish a balance between preserving the coherence and identity of the village and responding to the present and future needs of its inhabitants. The organization of the circulation network, the strengthening of service and public spaces, the definition of appropriate directions for physical expansion, and the enhancement of the residential environment are among the main areas of intervention proposed in the plan.
Ultimately, the Jey Shir Village Guide Plan represents an effort to outline a balanced and sustainable vision for the village’s future; a vision in which development does not occur in a scattered and uncontrolled manner, but rather in alignment with the actual capacities of the site and in harmony with the existing spatial structure. The plan seeks to create the conditions for improving residents’ quality of life, reinforcing the functional efficiency of the village, and preserving its physical character and local identity throughout the process of transformation and growth.
