The Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Science and Technology Park, located in the Goodal‑Cheshmeh district of Shahrekord along Roshd Street and adjacent to the Science and Technology Center, is a landmark project within the regional innovation ecosystem. It has been conceived to provide a systematic foundation for fostering innovation, promoting an entrepreneurial culture, enhancing the competitiveness of knowledge‑based companies, and supporting the development of a knowledge‑based economy at the provincial scale. Benefiting from its urban location, the park is directly connected to essential infrastructure such as water, electricity, gas, and municipal services, and enjoys convenient access to higher education institutions and nearby industrial zones.
The physical structure of the site is currently organized around two central administrative and managerial buildings. Four floors are dedicated to the accommodation of companies and management units, while the two upper levels function as rooftop gardens, providing semi‑public open spaces for informal interaction, small events, and improved environmental quality. This configuration establishes a functional core for the park and offers a flexible framework that can be expanded and refined in subsequent development phases.
The park’s immediate context features a diverse set of urban uses that shape its planning logic. To the northwest, the provincial incubator center affiliated with the Governor’s Office forms a strong institutional partner; to the north, vacant land offers potential for future expansion; to the south, the city cemetery defines a stable urban edge and symbolic boundary; and to the east, along Imam Khomeini Street, residential buildings highlight the park’s direct interface with the urban and residential fabric. In addition, the site benefits from integration into both intra‑urban and inter‑urban public transport networks, facilitating easy access for users, employees, and visitors.
Functionally, the park’s development framework envisions a balanced mix of specialized and supporting spaces. Key innovation facilities such as the Science and Technology Tower, incubator center, independent companies, multi‑tenant buildings, laboratories, and workshops form the core of technological and research activities, while service areas, internal circulation routes, and green and park spaces complete the spatial structure. Together, these elements create a coherent environment that not only supports technology transfer and knowledge commercialization, but also contributes to regional economic growth and strengthens the scientific and technological position of the province.
