The Qom Science and Technology Park, as a pivotal infrastructure within the national innovation ecosystem, has been established with the mission to facilitate the transition toward a knowledge-based economy, bolster research and development capacities, and accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes. Situated on a 20-hectare site within the designated "Education, Research, and Technology" zone along the strategic Qom-Tehran axis, the park leverages its proximity to prominent academic, industrial, and exhibition hubs. This strategic positioning has elevated the site to a regional innovation hub, fostering synergy between academia, industry, and service sectors, thereby addressing regional development needs while strengthening the nation's technological landscape.
The park's functional structure is designed with a forward-looking approach, aimed at creating an integrated environment for all stakeholders within the innovation ecosystem. A core objective of this initiative is to empower knowledge-based enterprises, support innovative ideas, particularly in the humanities and soft technologies, and harness the synergy of academic and seminary research to enhance the value chain of local industries. This approach has transformed the park from a purely specialized facility into a dynamic nexus for integrating knowledge, production, and investment, comprehensively engaging all segments of the innovation ecosystem, from inventors and academic elites to industrial R&D centers.
In terms of spatial organization, a diverse array of land uses has been integrated to address the multifaceted needs of work, living, and collaboration. Innovation centers, independent corporate spaces, specialized laboratories, production workshops, and technology markets, alongside supporting facilities such as residential, athletic, cultural, and commercial spaces, have all been meticulously planned to foster a highly efficient and resilient environment.
