Arah Villa is the second unit in the Sadaf 12-villa complex. It is designed with a unique approach that maintains the overall unity of the development while offering a variety of architectural plans and styles to meet the diverse needs and preferences of its residents. The overall form is based on principles of transparency, volumetric balance, and the interplay of light and shadow. Through the use of simple lines, pure forms and natural materials such as thermowood, exposed concrete and glass surfaces, the design creates a warm, peaceful and modern atmosphere.
The project is located near Mount Atashgah, one of Isfahan’s historical and cultural landmarks, which also houses the tomb of ancient prophet, Tahmuras. This unique location elevates the design beyond mere architecture, reflecting deeper concepts such as respect for history, culture and the surrounding nature. The name «Arah» is derived from an angel in Zoroastrianism and symbolizes the project’s connection to the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
The villa is designed across three levels: basement, ground floor and first floor. Vertical circulation is provided through a central elevator. The basement functions as an independent unit with a separate entrance and includes a living room, kitchen, and a bedroom. This space is designed to offer complete privacy and operate independently from the rest of villa- ideal for guests or a family member. The ground floor accommodates the main entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, guest restroom, gathering area and provides direct access to surrounding green space. The first-floor houses more private areas such as bedrooms, a family lounge, terraces overlooking the natural scenery.
Each bedroom is designed to maintain functional independence by including its own private bathroom. The smart layout of the spaces, along with their arrangement and interconnections, creates a unified, intimate and harmonious atmosphere throughout the entire project.
The spatial structure and architectural details -especially the semi-open transitional areas- are thoughtfully integrated into the design to allow natural airflow and daylight to flow throughout the villa, creating a dynamic and continuous connection between different levels. Each space is precisely positioned based on its function with attention to proportion and sense of artistry. This design approach ensures privacy while conveying a sense of comfort and liberation. Multiple terraces with uninterrupted views of mountains and surrounding greenery offers a unique and lasting experience of living in harmony with nature within an urban context.
