The Morcheh‑Khort Stone Factory Industrial and Administrative Complex has been designed as an integrated architectural project that brings together industrial production, management, and commercial interaction within a coherent spatial framework. The project reinterprets the typology of industrial architecture through a contemporary language that emphasizes the material presence of stone while establishing a clear relationship between function, structure, and built form. In this way, the design seeks not only to meet the technical requirements of a stone-processing facility, but also to define a distinctive architectural identity for the complex.
At the center of the project, the main production hall is conceived with a tectonic approach rooted in structural clarity and operational efficiency. The rhythmic repetition of structural bays and the restrained simplicity of the building’s massing create a strong industrial character while providing an effective framework for heavy machinery, production lines, and logistical circulation. Carefully controlled natural light and a climate-responsive envelope contribute to a safe, efficient, and legible working environment in which the different stages of production are organized within a clear architectural order.
In contrast, the administrative building acts as the representational interface of the complex, expressed through a more transparent and refined architectural language. Its spatial organization establishes a clear hierarchy between public and private areas, supporting managerial and commercial activities while also creating an opportunity to present the factory’s stone products within an architectural setting. At the scale of the site, the direct relationship between the production and administrative zones ensures efficient circulation, functional clarity, and continuous supervision of industrial processes. Overall, the project aims to elevate the quality of industrial space through a unified design approach in which functional performance, spatial order, and the authenticity of stone are brought together in a contemporary architectural expression.
